A Tale of Two Female Founders

The two female founders of Simply Shroom felt there was something missing in the coffee and drinks cafe marketplace when they were looking for a fun place to have ‘coffee’ with their female friends.

With masculine brand names like Peets, Alfred’s and ‘Bros’ dominating the market and new cafes dedicated to ‘bikini baristas’, ‘black rifles’ and ‘black rocks’ – the coffee culture often seemed like a brotherhood for men.

Yet women dominate the coffee market in terms of annual
sales yet the market is geared towards men. spend more money on coffee than men and order more expensive drinks – tallying just over $2,300 per year on coffee!

This includes espresso-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, as well as single-origin and artisanal coffee varieties.

Simply Shroom was built on the upscale tastes and health
priorities of women with our ‘lattes first’ and mushroom coffee concept.

While many coffee shops offer a plethora of options, Simply Shroom is the only one dedicated to health, incorporating beverages that cater to various dietary needs and health
goals such gluten-free, paleo, keto and vegan.
